Introducing Lake Mary Chiropractor Dr. Rob Cunningham
My first experience with chiropractic care was after I injured my back at a young age.
As usual as a small child, I was always doing things to make my parents have concern for my well being.

I was brought up to see the family medical doctor for all ills. He would either see us in his office or if you were too sick or injured, he would come to the house. I followed this course of care until I injured my back for the third time, at which time the family doctor referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. He recommended surgery on my back. I remember asking him if there was anything else I could do and his reply was, “You can go to one of those ’Quiropracters‘ but it probably would just prolong the necessity for surgery.” He planted a seed in my mind and I decided to go to a local chiropractor. After about three years of fairly regular care and now maintenance care, I have not had back surgery yet and that was forty years ago!
During one of my visits I mentioned how a friend at the time was experiencing moods which were becoming very unordinary after bouncing up and down in the front of a boat. He told me to bring her in the next visit and he would take a look. I did and he found two vertebrae in her neck jammed together and adjusted her. That changed her whole personality for the better! Later, her mother was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis of the spine and after getting out of traction in the hospital, she went to a chiropractor and had good results. All of these experiences expanded my perspective of then current health care and I decided to become a chiropractor.

Our mission is to educate and adjust as many families as possible to optimal health through natural chiropractic care in an environment that encourages personal growth and development and recognizes the basic human need to feel recognized, appreciated and approved of, allowing them to be treated as an individual.
Chiro Touch 1 is a Chiropractic facility providing patient centered care, rehabilitation and education through natural health care to members of the community injured at work, in their vehicle, suffering from acute and chronic pain, those individuals requiring long term maintenance care for injuries sustained during their life and require ongoing care to prevent degeneration of their level of health as well as those individuals desiring wellness and preventative care during the course of their particular lifestyle.
I grew up in “Downtown Orlando” and have seen many changes over the years. The old Florida is soon passing and clinging to a little of the past, I currently reside in “Old Lake Mary”.
My leisure activities include spending quality time with children and grandchildren. Personal “Fun” is occasionally saltwater fishing and outdoor activities. I am currently a member of Winter Park Masonic Lodge 239, Orlando Scottish Rite Body and the Iron Horses Unit of the Bahia Shrine. The Iron Horses allow me to ride my motorcycle (Harley) on outings enjoying fellowship with those of like thinking. All of theses entities contribute to various charities such as Children Speech and Language Disabilities and Shrine Centers for Children Orthopedics and the Burn Centers.
As I look around at those that are my age, particularly at class reunions, I ask who are all these old people! Seriously, I am thankful for having good health and have to attribute that to a long term chiropractic lifestyle. Keeping “vertical alignment” (ask me about it) as well as “spinal alignment” has allowed me to enjoy life. As I see those around me taking so much medication for all types of ills, I do wonder and am thankful for what I have and what I do!
I try to eat proper foods, keep physically fit, maintain proper mental attitude and be a role model for my patients to see.
Enough about me! Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we can help and be of service to you. Give our office a call, or e-mail me using the link below so we can help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care!
